Ein Anruf lässt alle Pläne über den Haufen werfen. Ihr Sohn hat eine traurige Nachricht für die Großeltern.
Deswegen fällt der Ausflug ins Wasser! „Ich hab‘ momentan überhaupt keine Idee, was wir jetzt machen könnten „, klagte Manu in ihrer Instastory.
„Kalt ließ Konny dies Sache allerdings auch nicht, zumal er wusste, wie sehr seine Liebste an der Familie hängt“, berichtet „Promiwood“.

Manu und Konny hatten die sehr ansteckende Krankheit bereits, wollen aber ihre anderen Familienmitglieder schützen. Sie wollen aber kein Risiko eingehen und sie unbeabsichitgt auch noch an Janinas Söhnchen Charlie (2) übertragen.
Während die Auswanderer-Mama und nun auch Oma ihre Enttäuschung deutlich zeigen: „Alle Pläne sind dahin!“), gab sich Konny wie immer als Pragmatiker: „Ich glaube, wir sind so ’ne Familie: Wir nehmen Situationen hin, wie sie sind.“

Konny beruhigt seine Manu: „Och, mein Engelchen, wir werden was finden!“ Sie finden gemeinsam eine Lösung: Statt sich von Sohnemann Jason am Flughafen in Dallas abholen zu lassen, nahmen sich die Wahl-Amerikaner einen Leihwagen.
Dann reisten die beiden Auswanderer nach Gainesville, in die nur eine Autostunde weit entfernte Kleinstadt, in der Jason mit seiner Familie lebt. Auch wenn die Zeit wieder viel zu kurz Zeit war, wollten Manu und Konny gerne ihre Lieben sehen und einige Geschenke übergeben. Natürlich mit Sicherheitsabstand. Die „Goodbye Deutschland“-Stars machen aus jeder Situation das Beste!
