Der Ex-Schottland-Star Denis Law ist an Demenz erkrankt. Dies verkündete Europas Fußballer des Jahres 1964 auf der Seite seines langjährigen Klubs Manchester United.
Denis verspricht seinen Fans, dass er weiterhin ins Stadion Old Trafford gehen will. Der 81-jährige Law, der nach eigenen Angaben an Alzheimer und vaskulärer Demenz leidet, ist der jüngste ehemalige Spieler, der bekannt gab, dass er an der degenerativen Hirnerkrankung leidet.
„Dies wird keine leichte Reise sein, besonders für die Menschen, die Sie am meisten lieben“, sagte Law.
