Star-Schauspieler und Stand-up-Comedian Ricarlo Flanagan ist im Alter von 40 Jahren gestorben.

Seine Todesursache wurde noch nicht bekannt gegeben – er litt jedoch kürzlich an einer Erkrankung mit dem Coronavirus.

Flanagan, der auch als Rapper tätig war, hat kürzlich einen Tweet gepostet, in dem er über seine Erfahrungen mit Covid-19 berichtet.
Der Komiker schrieb: „Dieses Covid ist kein Scherz. Ich wünsche das niemandem.“
Er war 2013 Halbfinalist des NBC-Wettbewerbs Last Comic Standing geworden, kurz nachdem er das Comedy-Album Man Law veröffentlicht hatte.

Er war auch bekannt für seine wiederkehrenden Rollen in Walk The Prank auf Disney Plus – sowie in der US-Version der Hit-TV-Show Shameless.
Außerdem hatte er mehrere Auftritte in Insecure, The Mick und der HBO-Serie Room 404.
Flanagan machte auch Rap-Musik unter dem Pseudonym Father Flanagan und veröffentlichte im Laufe seiner Karriere mehrere Alben.
