Der 27-Jährigen drohen nun bis zu 15 Jahre Haft, nachdem die Staatsanwaltschaft in Russland die Anklage gegen sie von schwerer Körperverletzung auf Mord erhöht hat.

Berichten zufolge hat das Model ihren angeblich gewalttätigen Freund während eines Streits in Notwehr erstochen.

Das Super-Model rief sofort einen Krankenwagen und ihr Freund wurde in die Notaufnahme gebracht, wo er laut Angaben der Polizei starb. Sie wurde verhaftet und gestand, ihren langjährigen Ehemann erstochen zu haben.

<h2>Opfer häuslicher Gewalt</h2>

Online geteilte Aufnahmen scheinen das Modell zu zeigen, wie es eine Kapuzenjacke und eine Gesichtsbedeckung trägt, während die Polizei sie von einem Fahrzeug in ein Gebäude begleitet.

Das Model Lilia Sudakova, 27, das für sein natürliches rothaariges Haar berühmt ist, und ihre Mutter Irena Sudakova, 49, haben wiederholt betont, dass sie Opfer häuslicher Gewalt war und nach ihrer Verhaftung Ende 2020 in Notwehr gehandelt hat.

Sudakova, die in Untersuchungshaft unter Hausarrest steht, sagte, ihr Mann sei „sturzbetrunken“ gewesen, als er mit der anderen Frau aus einer Bar nach Hause kam, „nur um mir zu zeigen, dass er eine andere Frau finden kann“.

Ihre Mutter Irena Sudakova, 48, erzählte der russischen Zeitung „Komsomolskaya Pravda“, dass ihre Tochter das Opfer langjähriger häuslicher Gewalt war und sich selbst verteidigte, als sie Popov tötete. Sudakovas Mutter Irena erzählte der Zeitung „Komsomolskaya Pravda“ außerdem, dass Popov ein Alkoholiker sei, der gewalttätig wurde, wenn er trank. Sie sagte, Popov habe anscheinend Sudakovas Haare gepackt und sie in die Beine getreten.

<h2>Krankenwagen gerufen</h2>

Medienberichten zufolge erkannte das Modell nicht, dass die Verletzung tödlich war. Sie rief sofort einen Krankenwagen und Popov wurde ins Krankenhaus gebracht, wo er starb.

Laut Irena war Sergei ein angenehmer und intelligenter Typ, aber alles änderte sich, sobald er Alkohol konsumierte.

Sie sagte: „Wenn er nüchtern war, war er klug und  belesen. Sein Verstand war faszinierend. Aber wenn er betrunken war, verstand er überhaupt nichts“, fügte sie hinzu.
