Nun hat RTL reagiert und schneidet Michael Wendler aus allen bereits fertig produzierten Folgen der Castingshow DSDS aus!
„Wir verurteilen jegliche Form von Antisemitismus, Rassismus sowie Diskriminierung auf das Schärfste. In Zeiten, in denen es darum geht, durch gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt, gegenseitige Rücksichtnahme und Respekt gemeinsam eine schwere Krise zu bewältigen, wird RTL mit einer Unterhaltungsshow nicht die Bühne für Menschen sein, die ihrerseits Spaltung und Verharmlosung propagieren“, so Jörg Graf, Geschäftsführer des Senders RTL.
Weiter heißt es in der Pressemitteilung: „Der Sender hatte sich bereits damals klar von den Äußerungen des Sängers distanziert, aber zunächst entschieden, die zum damaligen Zeitpunkt bereits aufgezeichneten Folgen auszustrahlen. Mit den gestrigen neuen Äußerungen ist klar: RTL wird Michael Wendler komplett aus der Sendung schneiden, selbst wenn dabei für die Zuschauer sichtbare, dramaturgische Lücken entstehen.“

„Der Wendler kann dann zukünftig bei armes Deutschland mitwirken! Obwohl… In dieser Sendung wäre er der erste Geisteskranke….“ Schreibt ein User auf den Instagram-Account des Musikers. Spätestens aber als der Wendler anfing, seine Verschwörungstheorien zu verbreiten, musste sich auch sein letzter Fan von ihm abwenden. Die Werbeverträge war er so jedenfalls erstmal los! Die meisten Menschen werden ja aus Schaden klug, der Wendler scheinbar nicht. Jetzt leistete er sich das nächste große Ding!

RTL schmiss ihn ebenfalls raus, sein Auftritt als Jurymitglied in „DSDS“ wird trotzdem ausgestrahlt. Warum?
Warum ist Michael Wendler noch als Jurymitglied bei DSDS zu sehen?
„Michael Wendler wird in den 13 Castingfolgen zu sehen sein, da diese vor seinem Ausstieg bereits abgedreht waren. Seine fragwürdigen verschwörungstheoretischen Ansichten zur anhaltenden Corona-Pandemie und die üblen Anschuldigungen, RTL sei „politisch gesteuert“ und „gleichgeschaltet“, hatten zwar bundesweit einen großen Skandal ausgelöst, waren dem Sender aber vor seinem plötzlichen Ausstieg nicht bekannt gewesen“, verteidigt sich „RTL“ halbherzig.
„Die diesjährige Staffel von „Deutschland sucht den Superstar“ dürfte wohl als die bizarrste in die TV-Geschichte eingehen“, stellt „RND“ fest. Der Schlagerfuzzi schrieb auf Telegram: „KZ Deutschland??? Es ist einfach nur noch dreist, was sich diese Regierung erlaubt. Das Einsperren von freien und unschuldigen Menschen ist gegen jegliche Menschenwürde“.

Ist es reine Geldgeilheit, dass „RTL“ trotzdem, die „DSDS“-Folgen zeigt? Von Verantwortung gegenüber seinem Publikum scheint der Sender jedenfalls nicht viel zu halten. RTL verzichtete auf einen Neuschnitt der Sendung und ebenfalls auf einordnende Worte. Eine klare Distanzierung wäre aber angebracht gewesen.
„Michael Wendler vergleicht Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen mit Konzentrationslagern. Und RTL so: Dem geben wir die Primetime, ohne Einordnung oder Distanzierung“, twitterte der Mediendienst „DWDL“.
