Autofahrer verursachte mehrere Unfälle in Nürnberger Südstadt
Ein betrunkener 46-Jähriger verursachte mehrere Unfälle in Nürnberg. Die Polizei schätzt den Gesamtschaden auf über 60.000 Euro.

In Nuremberg’s southern district, a driver caused a right-of-way traffic accident on the night of Sunday (15.03.2026). During the accident investigation, the police found that the 46-year-old man was heavily intoxicated and had apparently already damaged several parked vehicles.
The 46-year-old Pole was driving his Volvo around 01:00 in Lothringer Straße. There was a collision at the intersection with Elsässer Straße with a BMW that had the right of way. During the accident investigation, the police officers realized that the 46-year-old man was clearly heavily intoxicated.
In addition, the central command of the Middle Franconian police had already received several reports of further accidents involving the Volvo in the nearby area. The police officers were able to determine that the 46-year-old man had recently hit three parked vehicles in Huldstraße. After turning onto Frankenstraße and then onto Voltastraße, there was another collision with a parked car, which in turn was pushed onto a parked trailer.
The vehicles that were hit each suffered corresponding damages, which the police estimated to be over 60,000 euros in total. The driver underwent a breath alcohol test, indicating an alcohol level of almost two per mille. Accordingly, the police ordered a blood test for the 46-year-old. The heavily damaged Volvo was towed away by the officers. The Nuremberg traffic police initiated investigations against the man for endangering road traffic and hit-and-run in several cases. The extent of further accidents or property damage caused by the 46-year-old’s alcohol-fueled drive is the subject of these investigations.
Statistiken zu Verkehrsunfällen in Bayern für 2023
Im Jahr 2023 gab es in Bayern insgesamt 388.817 Verkehrsunfälle. Davon waren 49.463 Unfälle mit Personenschaden, was 12,72% entspricht. Schwerwiegende Unfälle mit nur Sachschaden machten 7.460 Fälle aus, was 1,92% aller Unfälle entspricht. Unfälle unter dem Einfluss berauschender Mittel wurden in 2.153 Fällen registriert, was 0,55% aller Unfälle ausmacht. Die meisten Unfälle, nämlich 329.741, waren Übrige Sachschadensunfälle, was 84,81% entspricht. Von den Unfällen ereigneten sich 37.412 innerorts (9,62%), 20.411 außerorts (5,25%) und 5.035 auf Autobahnen (1,29%). Insgesamt gab es 499 Getötete, 9.257 Schwerverletzte und 53.102 Leichtverletzte.
