Marburg- Swastika carved into window
Unbeknownst to anyone, an unknown person carved a 25 x 25 cm swastika into a window pane of the district court on Universitätsstraße. The swastika was discovered yesterday evening (08.02.2024) at 6:00 p.m. The damage is estimated at 300 euros. The state security department of the criminal police has initiated an investigation. Gladenbach: Break-in
Thieves targeted cash and jewelry during their break-in into a single-family house on Kehlnbacher Straße. Between 3:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. yesterday (08.02.0224), they pried open the patio door and entered the house. In addition to cash, they stole jewelry. The total damage is estimated at several thousand euros. Witnesses who have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles are asked to contact the Marburg police station at Tel: (06421) 406-0.
Dautphetal and Marburg: Police checks
Together with colleagues from the Lich riot police, officers from the Marburg-Biedenkopf regional traffic service conducted speed checks on Wednesday (07.02.2024). Between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., the traffic specialists recorded 25 speed violations at the Mittelpunktschule on Marburger Straße. The sad leader in this case was a driver who was caught speeding at 99 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. After deducting a tolerance, he can now expect a fine of 400 euros, a two-month driving ban, and one point in the driving license register.
At a second checkpoint on Ernst-Giller-Straße in Marburg, the officers penalized six violations between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Three drivers had violated the seat belt requirement. They will receive a warning of 30 euros. Three other drivers can expect 100 euros, as they were using their mobile phones while driving.
