+Werkzeug gestohlen aus Transporter+
Achim. Zwischen Sunday evening, 7 pm and Monday morning, 5:50 am, there was a break-in into a transporter in Arenkamp. The unknown perpetrators broke a window of the vehicle and stole various tools. Afterwards, they fled in an unknown direction. Witnesses are asked to contact the Achim police at 04202-9960.

Oyten/A1. Between the Oyten exit and the Bremer Kreuz towards Münster, a semi-truck and a truck collided on Monday afternoon, around 1:30 pm. In heavy traffic, the 46-year-old driver of the semi-truck had to stop due to traffic conditions. A following 29-year-old driver also began to brake, but realized that he would not come to a stop in time and swerved to the left onto the middle lane. In doing so, he touched the semi-truck on the side and tore open the vehicle. Both drivers remained uninjured in the accident.
For the accident investigation, the right and middle lanes had to be temporarily closed until the vehicles could be escorted to the nearby parking lot. The estimated property damage is around 35,000 euros.

Oyten. On L168 towards Ottersberg on Monday, around 2:30 pm, a 42-year-old driver rear-ended the Skoda of a 43-year-old almost unbraked. The woman wanted to turn left into Köbens street and had to stop on the road. The following 42-year-old driver noticed this too late and collided with his VW into the Skoda. Both vehicles were subsequently not roadworthy and had to be towed. The 43-year-old woman was slightly injured in the collision and was taken to the hospital as a precaution by the ambulance service.

+Burglars use balcony+
Osterholz-Scharmbeck. On Monday, between 11 pm and 12:30 am, unknown perpetrators broke into an apartment in a multi-family house on Mozartstraße. They entered the balcony of the ground floor apartment and forcibly opened the balcony door. Inside, they searched the apartment and stole cash according to initial findings. After the crime, they fled back through the entry path. Witnesses who have observed anything suspicious are asked to contact the Osterholz police at 04791-3070.
+Woman on E-Scooter slightly injured+
Osterholz-Scharmbeck. A 43-year-old woman on an E-Scooter was slightly injured in a traffic accident on Monday morning and was taken to a hospital. Around 10 am, a 68-year-old driver of a Renault wanted to turn right from Am Pumpelberg street into the parking lot of a supermarket. While turning, she did not see the 43-year-old approaching from the right. According to initial information, she could not brake in time and collided with the car. She was slightly injured in the process.

Die Einbruchsraten in Niedersachsen stiegen zwischen 2022 und 2023 deutlich an. Im Jahr 2022 wurden 6510 Fälle registriert, während es im Jahr 2023 bereits 7646 Fälle waren. Trotz der gestiegenen Anzahl an Fällen konnten weniger Einbrüche aufgeklärt werden. Im Jahr 2022 wurden 1570 Fälle gelöst, während es im Jahr 2023 nur 1517 waren. Die Anzahl der Verdächtigen ging ebenfalls leicht zurück, von 1299 im Jahr 2022 auf 1244 im Jahr 2023. Im Vergleich dazu verzeichnete Nordrhein-Westfalen im Jahr 2023 mit 27061 Fällen die höchste Anzahl an Einbrüchen in Deutschland.

Statistiken zu Verkehrsunfällen in Niedersachsen für 2023
Im Jahr 2023 gab es insgesamt 211.737 Verkehrsunfälle in Niedersachsen. Davon waren 32.471 Unfälle mit Personenschaden, was 15,34% aller Unfälle entspricht. Schwerwiegende Unfälle mit nur Sachschaden machten 2,02% aus, was 4.271 Unfällen entspricht. Unfälle unter dem Einfluss berauschender Mittel waren mit 1.665 Fällen oder 0,79% vertreten. Die restlichen Sachschadensunfälle beliefen sich auf 81,86% oder 173.330 Unfälle. Innerorts ereigneten sich 24.125 Unfälle (11,39%), außerorts (ohne Autobahnen) 13.995 Unfälle (6,61%) und auf Autobahnen 3.672 Unfälle (1,73%). Insgesamt gab es 423 Getötete, 5.122 Schwerverletzte und 36.247 Leichtverletzte.
