JoAnna Cameron (70) tot

JoAnna Cameron ist im Alter von 70 Jahren gestorben: Der „Secrets of Isis“-Star verstarb auf Haiwaii an den Folgen eines Schlaganfalls.

Co-Star Joanna Pang Atkins bestätigte am Sonntag in einem Twitter-Post, dass sie verstorben ist.

„Traurig, zu posten, dass JoAnna Cameron ‚The Mighty Isis‘ in den Himmel geflogen ist“, schrieb Atkins neben einem Foto aus der Show.

Sie fügte hinzu, dass der Star am 15. Oktober, verstorben ist.

Cameron spielte die Archäologin Andrea Thomas in der frühen DC-Comics-Serie. Sie wurde vor allem dadurch bekannt, dass sie das Tutmose-Amulett entdeckte und „Oh mächtige Isis“ rief, als sie es fand. Daraufhin verwandelte sie sich in die ägyptische Göttin und setzte ihre Superkräfte ein, um die Menschheit zu retten. Die Serie lief von 1975 bis 1976 auf CBS.

Danach spielte sie in der Filmkomödie „How to Commit Marriage“, bevor sie ihre Fernsehkarriere mit Rollen in „Medical Center“, „The Name of the Game“ und „Love, American Style“ fortsetzte.
